New Kids on Block Singer Donnie Wahlberg, set a new world record by snapping selfies with fans on his group's annual fan cruise.
Wahlberg broke the Guinness World Record for "the most self portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes" with the help of fans on the New Kids on the Block Cruise in Cozumel, Mexico.
Cruise guests took 122 selfies with Wahlberg Oct. 21 to beat the former record-holder in Singapore with 119 selfies. Guests from across New England, including Massachusetts and New Hampshire, took part in setting the selfie record.
The task proved to be more difficult than expected. On this cruise alone, fans made two attempts to win the selfie title. Fans set the record with Wahlberg on the second try.
The NKOTB and Blue Bloods star tried to break the record on last year's fan cruise, but fell short at meeting the record until this year's 8th annual fan cruise.
Guinness World Records presented Wahlberg with a certificate for his achievement on board the cruise.
