New England took its first lead of the game in the fourth quarter, going up 33-32 on a second touchdown pass from Tom Brady to tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Eagles countered with a touchdown 21 seconds before the 2-minute warning. They missed on their 2-point conversion attempt, but added another field goal after Brady lost possession on a fumble. "I feel depressed. I thought we had this. I thought we could, like, overcome the deficit at halftime. We weren't able to do it, man. It sucked," said one dismayed Pats fan at Tony C's in Somerville, Massachusetts. "I'm heartbroken, bro. It's not even, like — no. It was terrible. We should have won this game."

"Dude, look. We're a second half team, we're a city of champions," said another patron. "I feel so bad that it happened. I really wish we came back for the second half."

The dynasty led by Brady and Bill Belichick was pushing for its sixth championship in its eighth Super Bowl appearance. The duo lost to the New York Giants in the 2007 and 2011 seasons.

"It sucks," one woman at Tony C's said. "I think today was not our day, maybe. We have five. We've got to share sometimes."

"Very disappointed. But I think we gave it our best," another fan agreed. "We didn't win, but hey, there's always next year."
