New Englanders React to Boston Grand Prix Filing for Bankruptcy

Those who purchased tickets are waiting to see whether they will be refunded

Boston Grand Prix, LLC filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday, leaving ticket holders wondering whether they would see a refund.

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey informed the public actions would be taken to make sure ticket holders were refunded their money.

However, many are not so sure they'll see any refunds.

Some took to social media to share their frustrations with the failed IndyCar race.

Michael Everson of Norton, Mass., posted on Facebook and said "looking less and less like I will ever get my money back for Grand Prix Boston."

Peter Henry from Sutton, Mass., agreed and posted, "looks like chances of getting my $$$$$ are not good."

Diane Gaissl Piazza tagged her friend Bob Bielski in a post and said, "if you didn't get your money you probably won't..."

The race was originally scheduled for Labor Day weekend but was cancelled because IndyCar and the City of Boston could not come to an agreement on numerous issues.
