New Hampshire 5K to Honor Fallen Officers, Aid Charity

The Manchester Police Department has held its ninth annual Footrace for the Fallen 5K in New Hampshire to honor officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Organizers expected a record number of runners to participate Sunday in a race that typically draws more than 800 participants.

Before the race, Gov. Maggie Hassan spoke at the starting line at the Manchester Police Department headquarters. Her opponent in the U.S. Senate race - incumbent Kelly Ayotte - was among the runners.

All proceeds benefit the Manchester Police Athletic League.
