A New Hampshire man accused of raping two young children in Massachusetts has been released on bail.
A Massachusetts judge on Wednesday decided to keep bail set at $35,000 for Abdulrhman Abduljalil.
Prosecutors had asked that bail for the 31-year-old Pelham, New Hampshire man be set at $100,000. Prosecutors say the family of the children Abduljalil is charged with sexually assaulting reported seeing him driving around their neighborhood.
Authorities say the rapes happened at a Weymouth, Massachusetts home in May.
Prosecutors say police discovered physical evidence supporting the children's story that Abduljalil had touched them both inappropriately.
The Saudi national faces charges including rape of a child with force and aggravated statutory rape.
Defense Attorney Melissa Fournier says the allegations are a blackmail attempt by the children's parents.
