New Hampshire Officer Not Injured When Cruiser Struck at Intersection

64-year-old Rebecca McDougall of Laconia was arrested on an OUI charge

Police in Laconia, New Hampshire, say an officer escaped injury when her cruiser was struck by a driver while stopped at an intersection.

Police say Officer Megan DeNutte was at the intersection of Blueberry Land and North Main Street when she was struck by an SUV at about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday.

Neither DeNutte nor the driver, 64-year-old Rebecca McDougall, of Laconia, was hurt, and the vehicle damage was minor. McDougall was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

It was not immediately known if McDougall had a lawyer. A phone number couldn't be found for her.
