    Police Investigate Suspected Drowning in Bethlehem

    A 31-year-old man was found unconscious in the river by a family member, state police say.

    New Hampshire State Police are investigating a suspected drowning after a 31-year-old man was found unconscious in the Ammonoosuc River.

    Police received a call around 12:40 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible drowning.

    An initial investigation reveals a family member found the man unconscious in the river, recovered him and then began performing CPR.

    The man, who has not been identified, was ultimately pronounced dead.

    A 4-year-old girl was left alone inside a minivan overnight in a Milwaukee tow lot, authorities said. An impaired driver was pulled over and arrested for operating while intoxicated. Officers removed a 10-month-old child from the vehicle but left the 4-year-old girl, who spent the night in the tow lot where temperatures dropped to 19 degrees.

    An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.

    Foul play does not appear to be a factor in this incident but it remains under investigation.

    New Hampshire State Police - Marine Patrol and the Bethlehem police and fire departments all responded to the scene.
