Ashley Compagna, 34, was arrested three times in just less than one week in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

A Merrimack, New Hampshire woman was arrested three times in the span of five days for allegedly stealing a dog, stealing prescription medication and attempting to break into a business.

Police say they first encountered 34-year-old Ashley Compagna on Aug. 31 after they responded to a complaint at the Residences at Daniel Webster. The complaint stated that Compagna allegedly stole the victim’s German shepherd and purse.

Officers went to Compagna’s room on the property, where she denied taking the dog. Then, police heard allegedly a bark and saw the dog in the room, where the victim’s purse was also recovered. Compagna was arrested and charged with three counts of receiving stolen property.

Just two hours after being released on $5,000 bail, officers patrolling the area near the King Kone ice cream stand saw someone attempting to climb into a window of the business, according to police. The suspect, later recognized as Compagna, allegedly tried to hide her face with the hood of her sweatshirt and was arrested a second time.

For the second arrest, Compagna was placed on a 72-hour hold by her probation officer before she had set her bail at $10,000.

On Sept. 5, Compagna was arrested yet again for allegedly stealing from the first victim. Police responded to the same scene of her initial arrest for a report that claimed the suspect knocked on the victim’s door and refused to leave.

Upon arrival, officers saw the suspect leave the victim’s room. Compagna initially told officers that her prescription medications were inside the victim’s purse and she wanted to recover them. She later gave officers a prescription bottle and admitted it belonged to the victim.

Compagna was arrested a third time and was given a $5,000 personal recognizance bail. She was also prohibited from having contact with the victim.

The suspect was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, two counts of breach of bail, three counts of receiving stolen property and possession of a prescription drug for her three arrests.

Compagna is scheduled to appear at Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on Sept. 20. It is unclear if she has an attorney.
