Part of busy Newbury Street in Boston was closed Tuesday night as police responded to a report of a barricaded subject.
Police confirmed a male subject had locked himself in his appartment. During the response, Newbury Street was shut down between Exeter Street and Fairfield Street.
Police tweeted shortly before 10 p.m. that the situation had been resolved. The street was reopened and the subject was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
No further information was immediately available.
