A newly-adopted 4-month-old puppy that broke her family's heart when she went missing during a walk has been found.

Nellie, a 4-month-old puppy who was featured in a Clear the Shelters segment, went missing Saturday when she went for a walk with her family at the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Massachusetts.

The young pup slipped through her harness and ran through the trails after a bicyclist scared her, according to the family.

The puppy’s family has been looking for her along with concerned hikers, rescue volunteers and park officials. Nellie’s heartbroken family has been distributing flyers in hopes of finding their beloved pup.

Nellie was adopted Aug. 14 from Shultz’s Guest House in Dedham, Massachusetts.
