Nice, Typical Fall Weekend Ahead

After such a chilly start this morning, including many frosty spots, the rest of the weekend will feature very typical fall weather across New England.

Today is the pick of the two days with lots of sunshine and highs in the 50s to near 60. Winds will be far lighter than yesterday.

Sunday brings warmer air, with highs in the 60s, but more clouds and even a few late day spotty showers in far Northern and Western New England.

If you’re looking for peak foliage, check out the Green Mountains and Northeast Kingdom in Vermont, Northern New Hampshire, or Northern Maine.

Moderate color is spilling as far south as the Litchfield Hills in Connecticut, Western and Central Massachusetts, as well as Southern Vermont, Southern New Hampshire, and Central Maine.

Most of the coast is seeing low color right now.

Once we get past the weekend, and all these fall activities, the upcoming week starts mild.

Ahead of a cold front, Monday will pop into the 70s. As the front comes in during the day, and into Tuesday, expect a band of moderate to heavy rain.

We’ll dry out and cool off again behind the front for the middle of next week.
