No Bail for Suspect in Fatal Parking Lot Stabbing

The suspect in a stabbing in Massachusetts last summer that left a Connecticut man dead has been ordered held without bail.

Not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of 20-year-old Jose Morales, of Worcester, at his arraignment Tuesday on multiple charges including murder.

Prosecutors say Morales stabbed 37-year-old Lee Daniels, of Thompson, Connecticut, on July 20.

Daniels was found in his car in the parking lot of the Worcester YMCA with a stab wound to the heart.

Witnesses told police the men had argued before the stabbing. Police say they recovered a knife that has the suspect's fingerprints on it.

Morales disappeared after the stabbing but was caught earlier this month in New Jersey.

Morales' lawyer did not argue for bail and did not comment on the charges.
