Driver of Special Needs Students Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A Massachusetts man who works as a driver for children with special needs was arrested on Oct. 30 on child pornography charges.

The Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crimes Unit and local police arrested Joseph LaHood, 56, of North Andover, after searching his residence and discovering evidence of child pornography on LaHood's smartphone and laptop computer.

LaHood faces charges of possession of child pornography and dissemination of visual material of a child in a state of nudity.

Prior to and at the time of his arrest, LaHood was employed as a driver with VanPool, a company serving children with special needs. He had driven a silver Ford with school bus markings.

LaHood, of 16 Edgelawn Ave., Apt. 2, was held on $50,000 cash bail pending his court appearance.
