North Attleboro, Mass., Officer Charged in Apparent Love Triangle Assault

Wednesday, a clerk magistrate ruled that there was probable cause for Police Sergeant David Gould to be arraigned on charges

A North Attleboro, Massachusetts, police officer has been charged with multiple counts of assault and battery after allegedly attacking two other police officers in an apparent love triangle. 

Wednesday, a clerk magistrate ruled that there was probable cause for Police Sergeant David Gould to be arraigned on charges. 

The incident happened back in July, after Gould apparently caught his girlfriend, who is a Plainville police officer, kissing another Plainville officer. 

A police report shows Gould followed his girlfriend and the man, punched him in the face and allegedly beat his girlfriend later at home. 

Gould is now on paid administrative leave.
