Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman in Winchester, Massachusetts.
According to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, officers responded to a home Sunday afternoon where they say they found the woman unresponsive.
She was taken to Lahey Clinic where she was pronounced dead.
Residents say this kind of thing doesn't happen in their neighborhood.
Neighbor Maryl Bosse said, "We're shocked. We were surprised. We had no idea this was going to happen. This is a really nice neighborhood. We’re kind of new, so we had no idea this was going to happen."
The district attorney's office is calling this an open investigation.
No other information is being released until the woman's family is notified.
