Officials: Revived Skier Will Make Full Recovery

Emergency officials in Stowe, Vermont, say a skier who was revived after collapsing at the resort is expected to make a full recovery

Emergency officials in Stowe, Vermont, say a skier who was revived after collapsing at the resort is expected to make a full recovery.

Stowe EMS says a crew was called to the Stowe Mountain Resort last Friday after receiving a report of a person down.

Witnesses say the patient, whose name and gender were not released, slumped to the ground after coming to a stop while skiing on the mountain.

A bystander found the patient unresponsive with no signs of life and called the Mount Mansfield Ski Patrol before providing cardio pulmonary resuscitation. The patient regained consciousness after one shock from an automated external defibrillator.

Stowe EMS transported the patient to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
