Oklahoma Kidnapping Suspect Arrested in New Hampshire

A man was arrested Friday at his New Hampshire apartment for kidnapping and assault with a dangerous weapon in Oklahoma.

Ashton Garland, 24, was wanted in Atlus for the incident in April.

U.S. Marshals determined Friday that Garland was living in an apartment on Beacon Street in Concord. When they knocked on the door alongside Concord Police officers, they say they could hear someone coming to the door before fleeing upstairs.

Responders used a battering ram to get inside, where Garland was found in the attic.

He was arrested without incident.

Garland will be held in New Hampshire for a court appearance before being extradited to Oklahoma.
