Fantastic Holiday Weekend on Tap Despite Some Spot Showers

It won’t be perfect, but the long holiday weekend really does look terrific across much of New England.

Gusty winds will blow Friday with a mixture of sun and clouds. There may be a spot sprinkle here or there, but most stay dry with highs around 70. Temperatures will drop at the coast as winds turn onshore.

Skies clear Friday night with lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. The wind will settle down as well.

Saturday starts sunny, with clouds gradually increasing over the course of the day. Much of New England stays dry all day, but in far Northern New England there may be a spot shower or storm late day. The rest of us have to wait until overnight for some showers and storms. Highs in the 70s, except for 60s along south facing coasts.

A few clouds, and perhaps even some spotty showers, linger on Sunday morning, but over the course of the day the sun returns and highs will pop to around 80. It will even feel a bit muggy. Across the mountains of Northern New England a few pop up showers or storms will re-develop during the afternoon.

Monday looks sunny, just a bit cooler with highs in the 60s at the coast. We’ll still make the 70s inland on Memorial Day.

Tuesday and Wednesday will both be coolest at the coast, with 60s there. We’ll be milder away from the coast. Shower chances are highest next week on Tuesday, and then again on Thursday as temperatures warm backs up close to 80.
