Drivers who are on the roads late at night could be in for some delays next week if they are planning to use the Zakim Bridge in Boston.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that the bridge will be fully closed from midnight to 5:00 am starting Monday, Oct. 16 through Friday, Oct. 21.
Drivers on I-93 and Route 1 who normally use the bridge will be detoured in order to get through. MassDOT is asking people to look for alternate routes during these times and to reduce their speeds while going through the detours.
The bridge is being closed as crews will be conducting standard inspections of the bridge.
