Overnight Fire Under Investigation as Arson

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and there were no injuries

Fire crews in Providence, Rhode Island, are investigating an overnight fire as a possible arson.

The fire on Courtland Street broke out around 2:30 Tuesday morning, according to necn affiliate WJAR.

Providence Fire said the fire originated in a mattress inside the home.

The home was vacant at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
