    Police officers responded to a call that an owl was struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Wayland, Massachusetts.

    The owl was found between the area of Old Connecticut Path and Forest Hill Road. The bird had no signs of visible injuries and officers positioned their vehicles to protect the animal.

    Allison Webber, a resident bird expert, was notified of the incident and took the owl into her care.

    Webber was hopeful that the owl will make a full recovery.
