Boston Shooting Victim's Injuries Downgraded to Non-Life Threatening

Authorities say one person has been shot in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

According to Boston police, they received a call for a reported person shot in the area of 1 Fairland Street around 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

The victim, an adult male, was transported to a Boston hospital with life-threatening injuries. His injuries have since been downgraded to non-life-threatening, officials said. 

Police spent hours at the scene of the shooting, canvasing the area with flashlights and using a K-9 unit to search the neighborhood.

Neighbors say they heard two shots and then the swarm of police.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
