Police are investigating after two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle just outside Providence, Rhode Island.
The crash occurred along Hartford Avenue in Johnston just before 10 p.m. Monday.
Police say a man and a woman were struck by a Jeep driven by a young man in his late teens or early 20s. They were both taken to Rhode Island Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Officers at the scene questioned the driver and determined that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Investigators are looking into whether slick roads caused the crash.
