PD: Drunk Boater Strikes, Injures Cousin on Lake

Police say John Paul McComiskey, of Woburn, Massachusetts, struck his cousin, Brian McComiskey

New Hampshire State Police have arrested a man accused of being drunk when he allegedly struck his cousin with a boat on Baxter Lake in Rochester Sunday.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m.

Police say John Paul McComiskey, of Woburn, Massachusetts, struck his cousin, Brian McComiskey, 38, also of Woburn, with a boat's propeller while Brian was water skiing.

Brian was brought aboard their boat and was brought to the Grandview Campground, where they were both staying.

He was airlifted to Maine Medical Center with a serious leg injury. His current condition is not known.

John Paul McComiskey was arrested for allegedly boating while intoxicated. He was released on bail. His arraignment date is not known.
