Nolan Gargas, 26, of Watertown, was first reported missing by his family in May

Police in Watertown, Massachusetts, say the remains discovered on Deer Island earlier this month are those of a missing man.

Nolan Gargas, 26, of Watertown, was first reported missing by his family in May. His car - a gray, 206 Toyota sedan - was found near the water in the East Point area of Nahant.

His remains were discovered by a fisherman on June 8 and were positively identified later.

The manner of Gargas’ death is undetermined.

Police believe he left his home in Watertown and traveled to Nahant.
