A Cranston, Rhode Island, man arrested twice in two days for allegedly assaulting and harassing the same woman in a wheelchair has been ordered held without bail.
Emile Perrault, 55, appeared in court Thursday.
Police say Perrault swore at the woman Wednesday at a bus stop on Cranston Street.
They say the same woman was assaulted by Perrault the day before.
Sgt. Brian D'amico said, "He struck her and her sunglasses flew off her face."
Witness Shirley Barone said, "Then he started pushing her wheelchair all over the place, trying to knock her out of it."
Police are not sure why the assaults happened.
