PD: Man Kills Ex-Wife's Dog After It Bites Him

Investigators said man appeared cooperative, remorseful

Police arrested a Rhode Island man on charges he shot his ex-wife's dog in the head after the 5-year-old pitbull mix bit him.

Fredrick Sisson, 64, of South Kingstown, was charged with malicious killing of an animal and firing in a compact area.

WJAR-TV reported investigators said Sisson was cooperative and appeared remorseful when questioned.

Sisson's ex-wife was reportedly on vacation at the time, and Sisson buried the dog in the backyard, police said.

Sisson was released on personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from his wife, police said.
