PD: Man in Hillary Clinton Mask and Jumpsuit Assaults Driver

Nicholas Bonzagni, 28, of Merrimack, is facing a charge of simple assault

Police in Merrimack, New Hampshire say a man wearing a red jumpsuit and a Hillary Clinton mask assaulted another man and tried to pull him out of a vehicle Wednesday night. 

Nicholas Bonzagni, 28, of Merrimack, is facing a charge of simple assault. 

Police say a caller told police Bonzagni was protesting loudly at Route 101. The man told Bonzagni to get a job and he allegedly argued with the victim and grabbed him arm, attempting to pull him out of the vehicle. 

Callers reported Bonzagni earlier in the afternoon for the protesting and police say they did not see anything disorderly. 

Officers spoke to Bonzagni at his home later in the evening. An arrest warrant was obtained for the simple assault charge. 

Bonzagni turned himself in to police and was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. 

He is set to be arraigned in court on December 1. It’s not clear if he has an attorney.
