Woman Rushed to Hospital in Hit-and-Run in Duxbury

    A woman is currently in the hospital after she was allegedly struck by a car in Duxbury. (Published Sunday, June 9, 2019)

    Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Duxbury that sent one woman to the hospital.

    According to authorities, a passerby found a woman on the road in the area of 620-625 Washington Street and called 911 Sunday night.

    The victim was rushed to the hospital and put into surgery.

    Police believe the woman may have been walking or running in the area. They do not know her identity because she did not have any identification on her.

    The 600 block of Washington Street was shut down Sunday evening as they tried to look for witnesses and evidence. There were some pieces of the car left behind that they hope will bring some answers, but they do not believe there were any witnesses.

    The victim's condition is not known at this time.
