Police in Hooksett, New Hampshire, say they have arrested a woman accused of assaulting an officer during a traffic stop early Monday morning.
The incident happened around 12:45 Monday morning on West Alice Ave.
While an officer was speaking to the driver, the female passenger got out of the vehicle multiple times and tried to interfere with the officer.
Police say the woman, identified as Winona Sutherland-White, 51, of Hooksett, eventually punched the officer in the arm and was placed into custody, during which she kicked the officer in the chest.
Police say she broke free of her handcuffs in the back of the police cruiser and needed to be placed into restraints.
She is facing two charges of simple assault on a police officer and is being held on $6,000 bail until her arraignment Tuesday.
It was not immediately known if she has an attorney.
