Package Containing Suspected Marijuana Sent to Radio Stations in Dorchester

Twenty bags of suspected marijuana were seized Tuesday night by Boston police at a building in the city's Dorchester neighborhood.

Officers responded to 55 Morrissey Blvd. at about 6:45 p.m. to recover a package that had been mailed to someone at the building, which houses a few radio stations.

Police said the substance in the bags is believed to be marijuana but it is being sent to a state lab for testing.

DJ Ramiro Torres from 96.9 FM took some pictures of the leafy greens in the torn open box.

"I saw there was a little bit of a commotion, a crowd around something," Torres said. "It was sitting there for a couple of weeks, that's the weird thing about it."

It's unclear who the package was mailed to and no arrests have been made.

"I've come across a lot of suspicious packages but this is the funnest one we've ever found," Torres said.
