The New England Patriots are getting into the holiday spirit.

Several players were at the Empower Field House at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Saturday to take part in linebacker Kyle Van Noy's Christmas tree giveaway.

Van Noy and his wife Marissa, with the help of teammates and friends dressed in No. 53 red shirts, handed out 200 trees to foster families in Boston from the DARE Family Services and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF).

The Pats linebacker was adopted as a baby.

His wife's father and brother were also adopted, and the couple started a foundation to help foster families.

The Van Noy Valor Foundation was started to raise funds to help improve the lives of foster children and families through events like Saturday's holiday giveaway.

In addition to the fresh Christmas trees, Van Noy also gave away Christmas lights, ornaments, decorations, tree stands, and new winter coats to each child at the event.

Children and their families attending the event were also treated to hot chocolate and other holiday treats.
