Pedestrian Hit By Car Near Market Basket in Manchester, New Hampshire

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car outside of Market Basket in Manchester, New Hampshire.

A preliminary investigation indicates the 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, with a single male operator, was traveling west on W. Auburn St. from Elm St. when it collided with the female.

The accident took place on Jan. 7 around 8:45 p.m.

The operator of the car was not injured, but the pedestrian was transported to the Elliot Hospital with multiple, serious injuries.

The names of both people involved are being withheld at this time.
