Pedestrian Suffers Life Threatening Injuries After Being Struck by Vehicle in South Boston

One person was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in South Boston on Saturday evening.

State police said the person was walking near 176 Day Boulevard at about 7:50 p.m. when they were struck by the vehicle.

Authorities said the pedestrian was transported to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

Day Boulevard was closed from the rotary to the McCormack Bath House while the scene was investigated.
