    Woman Killed by Flatbed Truck

    A woman crossing the street in Boston's South End was killed by a flatbed truck Wednesday afternoon.

    Police responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in Boston on Wednesday afternoon.

    Boston police confirmed that the victim was dead at 3:30 p.m. The victim's identity is not known at this time.

    According to police, the victim, who is female, was killed while crossing the street when she was struck by a flatbed truck. 

    Police received a call around 2:20 p.m. about a crash at the intersection of Herald and Washington streets in the city's South End neighborhood.

    Sky Ranger images from the scene showed police investigators around a flatbed truck in the middle of the intersection. Police said the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
