59-Year-Old Pedestrian Critically Injured After Crash in Quincy

The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Burgin Parkway and Granite Street

A 59-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car Monday night after trying to cross a street in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., police received several reports of a car crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Burgin Parkway and Granite Street, authorities said.

At the scene, officials found two cars that were in a head-on collision and a pedestrian who was hit before the crash. Both drivers of the vehicle stayed at the scene.

An initial investigation determined both cars were traveling on Burgin Parkway with the traffic light on green when the woman attempted to cross the street. She was taken to Boston Medical Center, where her condition remains critical.

It is unclear if either driver will face any charges. The crash remains under investigation.
