Man Drowns in Boston Harbor

The man was recovered by Quincy Police and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead

A man drowned Sunday in the waters of Boston and police say it seems like it was just a bad accident.

Police confirm the victim, a man in his 50s, fell off a boat near Rainsford Island in the Boston Outer Harbor just before 4:45 p.m.

The man was recovered by Quincy Police and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It is unclear if the man was wearing a life-preserver.

There were two people on the boat at the time, including the victim, and there were no signs of alcohol in the man who was driving the boat.

Officials are not releasing his name since there is no indication of criminal conduct.
