Pilot, Passenger Injured When Small Plane Flips Over During Take-off

A pilot and passenger were injured when a small plane flipped over at the Burlington Airport in Vermont Sunday afternoon, according to airport officials.

The Cessna 180, which was manufactured in 1975, flipped over during its take off just before 3:30 p.m.

Officials suspect a large crosswind played a role in the crash. According to necn's Michael Page, winds were around 15 mph at the time of the crash.

The plane's pilot received moderate neck injuries, while the passenger received minor injuries. Officials say the passenger refused medical service, but family members agreed to bring the passenger to a local hospital on recommendation from officials.

The identities of the pilot and passenger are currently unknown.

No other details were immediately available.
