Pleasant Now, Thunderstorms Possible Later This Week

We’re beginning our week with pleasant conditions since Monday will be another beautiful day. All of New England will enjoy the sunny, mild day.

Humidity will creep back into the region as its levels will increase throughout the day on Tuesday. Most of the area will stay dry, but there will be a few exceptions. Thunderstorms will move into western New England during the day, but they likely won’t survive the trek to the coast.

Wednesday and Thursday could be active weather days. The set-up already looks favorable for strong to severe thunderstorms.

At this point, the high probabilities look to be on Wednesday, when humidity will be high. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s and a cold front will continue to march east. It’s too early to determine how widespread the activity will be, but stay on guard and stay with NBC10 Boston as we continue to finetune the forecast.

The last of the showers and thunderstorms will clear out Friday. Temperatures then will stay rather warm in the mid-80s, but the weekend looks cooler and less humid.

We are expecting a refreshing airmass to set up for the weekend. At this point, we are calling for sunshine, low humidity and temperatures around 80 degrees.
