Police say a 7-year-old boy found unresponsive in an East Greenwich, Rhode Island, pool has died.
Authorities say responding officers were told that the child was found floating face down in the pool on June 18. An adult at the home pulled the boy from the water.
Police said Tuesday that the East Greenwich boy was pronounced dead at Kent Hospital. He wasn't immediately identified.
WJAR-TV reports that police say a party was being held at the home when the incident occurred. At least 20 adults and 15 children were there at the time.
The medical examiner's office is investigating.
