An 86-year-old disabled man was assaulted in a road rage incident Friday in Boston, police said.
Nicholas Franco, 66, of Newton, was arrested after allegedly attacking the victim, a Revere man, around 9 a.m. at the intersection of Transportation Way and Jeffries Street, according to Massachusetts State Police.

According to the victim, witness statements and video surveillance, Franco, who was driving a 2016 gray Mercedes, cut off and stopped his vehicle in front of a white taxi cab, which was stopped at the traffic light on Harborside Drive.
Franco exited his car and walked over to the cab. The driver then exited the cab. The two got into a verbal altercation which led to Franco pull the victim's glasses off his face, push him to the ground and strike him in the torso.
Franco then got back into his car and left the scene.
The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. His condition was not clear.
Franco was arrested a short time later in East Boston and charged with assault and battery on a person over 60.
He was expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court Friday afternoon.
It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
