Police Arrest Fugitive From N.H. in Mass.

Massachusetts State Police caught and arrested a fugitive from New Hampshire who violated his parole after serving in prison for being an accomplice in the murder of a police officer, officials said.

Police captured Kevin Paul, 36, in Boston around 7:45 p.m., according to authorities.

According to officials, Paul was with Gordon Perry, who shot and killed Officer Jeremy Charron in August of 1997. Authorities said published reports documented that Paul and Perry then stole a vehicle and Paul shot a police during a chase.

Paul was granted parole earlier this year after serving time.

He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
