Police Arrest Man in Connection With Brockton Triple Shooting

Massachusetts police say they have made an arrest in connection with a triple shooting at a convenience store in Brockton back in October.

Following an investigation, Brockton Police said Alezio Lopes, 21, was arrested Saturday in Taunton, in connection with the shooting of three men at the 7-Eleven at 662 Belmont Street, on October 29.

Police said the men were shot when a fight broke out. The victims were treated for non life threatening injuries.

Authorities said store surveillance video helped with their investigation.

“We are relieved to get this dangerous individual off the street,” said Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter. “Hopefully, the courts will hold him pending these serious charges.”

It's unclear when Lopes will be arraigned.
