    Police Arrest Man in Connection With Double Shooting

    Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a double shooting that left a Pawtucket boxer dead and another man injured.

    Police arrested a 21-year-old suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a Pawtucket boxer.

    Pawtucket Sgt. Christopher LeFort says the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the city. Charges are pending against Cedric Dalomba, of 54 Friendship St., according to investigators and published reports.

    Two men were found with gunshot wounds and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.    Police say 20-year-old Marcelino Debarros was pronounced dead at the hospital. Debarros was reportedly an amateur boxer who won the Golden Gloves Tournament last year.

    The other alleged victim, Jalin Braxton, 23, was treated and released.
