Police Break Up ‘Large Scale' Fights at Massachusetts Mall

Arrests were made at a Massachusetts mall Tuesday night after multiple "large scale" disturbances and fights, police say.

Police and mutual aid responded to South Shore Plaza in Braintree the night after Christmas after groups of teenagers got into fights around the mall around 8:30 p.m. While no serious injuries were reported, police say they arrested "a few" of the people involved.

The mall closed at normal hours, according to Braintree Police.

There is expected to be a visible police presence at the mall throughout the week.

No further information was immediately available.
