New Hampshire State Police say a driver is dead after the car she was driving hit a tree and burst into flames in Greenland.
Authorities say the car was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene on Ocean Road just before midnight on Friday.
The victim of the crash has been identified as Alexandra Coleman, 27, of Greenland.
Police say Coleman was apparently heading westbound on Ocean Drive, but why the car left the travel portion of the road and struck a tree is still under investigation. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road in the vicinity of 48 Ocean Drive was closed for about four hours while the investigation was underway.
