Police Investigating Death of Baby Found in Bathtub

The boy would have turned 1 year old next week

Lewiston Police along with Maine State Police are investigating the death of a baby found in a bathtub Monday afternoon inside an apartment.

The boy, who would have turned 1 year old next week, was reportedly placed in the tub along with his two year old sister for a bath by their father, who then left the room.

When the father reportedly later checked on the children, and the boy was found unresponsive.

An ambulance was called to 125 Pierce St., and the baby was declared deceased upon arrival at Central Maine Medical Center.

The father is 27-year-old Sean St. Amand; the deceased child has the same name.

The boy's mother, Jennifer Everett, 28, was also in the apartment at the time, taking a nap. Police have interviewed both parents.

An autopsy will be performed.
