Police say one person was killed in a shooting Wednesday evening in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. at 464 Hampshire Street and is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 30s, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Essex District Attorney's office.
Authorities do not believe this was a random attack.
The Essex DA's office said in a statement they will not be commenting on possible motive or suspects.
This is an active investigation.
