Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Lowell, Massachusetts on Thursday afternoon.
The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said preliminary investigation shows that the victim, an adult male, was shot in the area of the train terminal in Lowell.
Following the shooting, he entered his vehicle and drove a short distance before crashing in the area of the YMCA near Thorndike Street.
He was taken by ambulance to Lowell General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
