Police are investigating after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run in Randolph, Massachusetts.

The crash took place at 6:30 Monday night at the corner of North Main and Jane Streets.

A witness tells NECN that a young man was crossing North Main Street after buying candy at a convenience store across the street. Police say a silver Nissan hit him and kept going.

Police recovered the vehicle about a half mile down North Main Street at a Family Dollar store. The front end and windshield were damaged.

Randolph Police are checking the vehicle during the investigation.

Police say the victim is out of intensive care and in serious condition at a Boston hospital.

There is no suspect in custody.
